Created on 26 September 2008, the Confrérie de la bière du Betchard was officially recognised in Tubize during an induction ceremony, thus marking the beginning of a great adventure for the Grand Bailly and his Knights… Another new gastronomic brotherhood, some will think…Maybe. But what is more natural and legitimate than this desire, for some, or perhaps even this need, for many others, of going back to the sources of our gastronomic history, honouring old recipes or old traditions often neglected, changed or completely forgotten? This desire, generated and valiantly orchestrated by the goodwill of the members, is the origin of the Brotherhood of Betchard Beer, promoting the name of Tubize at the same time as its products, and supporting several charitable projects in the municipality. |
