Leisure
This superb spot for strolling and relaxation, a listed site since 1945, dates from the beginning of the 19th century. The marshy banks of the Dodaine, a tributary of the Thines, were drained in 1818. Jean-Baptiste Dangoneau, mayor of Nivelles, ordered the works, thus providing jobs for the poor during the period of famine in the Napoleonic era.
Embark at Rebecq station and discover the surroundings in this little steam train that will take you through the Valley of Birds, along the Senne, and show you remarkable views!
